I hope all of you are finding this season sparkling with possibility. I certainly am! I think it's wonderful that God
has something special in mind for each of us to do this year. To be part of His work can bring such joy!

As for me, I am taking joy from the fact that I will be returning to Johannesburg, South
Africa to continue working as a volunteer at Oasis of Love - a home for abandoned and/or
HIV/AIDS children under 6. I will be leaving Canada in March (after a year of saving!)
and spending the remainder of 2006 with the kids at Oasis of Love. I can't wait to see them!

Some people have asked me if it's been a hard decision to return to this type of volunteer
work. Well, God is good and I continue to be surprised at my own desire to return to South
Africa to live and volunteer. I can think of nothing else I'd rather do! Most importantly, I
am deeply compelled to give my full attention to the work God has led me to do.

Upon returning to Johannesburg, my main goals are to reconnect with the children at
Oasis, to assist with other community upliftment projects and to motivate other
young adults to do the same. As I take aim at these objectives, I want to ask you to
partner with me to reach them.

My home church, White Rock Baptist, has been a great support through the planning
stages of this trip. Thanks to all of you who encourage me through friendship, prayer
and support. After coming home for Christmas, I will return to South Africa for further
university study in 2007-8.

I consider you a partner in seeking to add love to a few lives!
